2005 REAL FOOTBALL不单单是开头画面，包括其菜单设计、内容设计、画面效果等都可以算得上一个真正的高拟真度足球游戏了，其效果绝对不比先前在PS上面推出的一些足球游戏差！首先，进入游戏后会有Gameloft标志性的初始设定选项，即是否开启游戏的声音，这为游戏的同时又不打扰别人带来了方便，不必进入游戏后再取消声音了。进入精致的主菜单，会有滚动字幕显示相关的游戏信息，很好的配合了体育游戏的动感氛围。通过主菜单可以发现游戏提供了相当丰富的游戏模式：快速游戏、表演赛、杯赛、联赛、训练模式以及游戏的相关设定和说明等等，其中联赛和杯赛模式中又分为国际比赛、俱乐部比赛和Gameloft自定义比赛，在国际比赛和俱乐部比赛中玩家可以选择世界各国家队或者一些国际知名足球俱乐部队来进行比赛，从这些比赛模式的设置上已经可以发现这款游戏的专业程度了。
选择一种游戏模式进入游戏后，首先选择一个球队以及双方比赛服装，然后会有一段比较详细的操作说明，介绍各个按键的用途，这个说明可以SKIP。然后就是一段开场前队员入场的动画，这段动画的效果十分不错，接着就是双方队员介绍包括姓名和所在位置，整个过程都是动态的，有点像电视转播一样，为游戏带来了很强的真实感，这些介绍也可以SKIP。比赛开始后遇到有越位、犯规、出界、角球等等会有裁判的头像和相应提示出现，而像断球，传球这样的动作屏幕上也会有小的提示，并且玩家控制的队员头顶有立体感较强的箭头标示，画面上还有比赛时间、比分，以及射门前会有力度、准度等显示，总之整个比赛过程动感十足，更绝的是比赛过程中居然会有裸奔者出现！将这一个意外事件加入到了游戏中不但更增强了游戏真实感，还为紧张的比赛带来一点愉快的气息。
游戏的画面虽然不是三维的，但是二维画面的效果在手机屏幕上看上去也很不错，并且在游戏速度方面得到了平衡。队员的动作也很逼真，跑动、传球、过人、断球、摔倒等动作都被描绘得惟妙惟肖，场内的观众、草坪等效果也比较真实。游戏的各项设定与真正的足球比赛相差无几，从可供选择的队伍、球衣的样式到比赛规则、时间的设定，比赛过程中的各种提示以及每场比赛后球员的各种设定等都十分得全面，整个游戏十分专业，无愧于REAL FOOTBALL这个称号。游戏开始有很动感的音乐，在菜单做各种选择的时候也有悦耳的提示音，不过可能是为了不影响游戏速度，比赛过程中就没有这样丰富的声音了。
