自从《GT赛车4》上市，全世界PSP玩家就开始踮起脚尖期盼《GT赛车》便携版的登场。后来由于SCE缄默的态度，这件事也渐渐开始降温。而在近日，国外网站Meristation上登载的一篇文章让全世界再次开始沸腾起来。
这是山内一典关于《GT-5》的一次发言，它让PSP玩家们再次看到了曙光。
・GT-5的序章版纯粹是为了了解玩家对目前赛车游戏以及对GT-5的看法。
・GT-5预计将在08年圣诞节上市
・为了保证游戏能有一个"Perfect"的表现，有可能会推迟上市时间
・所有车辆都将从零开始进行再制作
・每辆车需要耗时6个月制作，而一条赛道将耗时一年
・有30个人在专门进行赛道的制作
・目前对新Online interface的表现相当满意
・目前仍在调试车辆的破损度，有可能会作出一些修改
（山内本人并不希望车辆会有破损表现，不过他表示理解玩家们追求真实效果的愿望。另外，车商们有的不会在意车辆是否会破损，而有的则明确表示不希望他们的车辆会坏掉，即使是在游戏里。所以不排除出现部分车辆会损坏，而其他一些车辆不会损坏的可能）
・不会给开发人员定下开发期限。不过，在山内觉得满意之前游戏将不会上市
・山内表示很早之前就有制作一款RPG游戏的愿望
・"-Currently working on Gran Turismo Portable (!). Will come after GT5 and will be a complementary, satelite game.”

虽然只有一句，但是确实声明了便携版的存在，不知道游戏会给我们一种怎样的冲击。不过看过山内的介绍后，作为GT系列的忠实粉丝，首先希望的是GT-5能再写4代的辉煌（同时期待便携版）。
